Antique Jambati Lingam Singing Bowl with exceptional craftsmanship #1996

1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather

Large and thick Jambati Lingam bowl. This ancient ceremonial piece has dark patina mixed with green and red copper bloom, the kind that takes centuries to lay down. Beneath the patina is clear etching. Outside the bowl the etching is so deep as to create the impression of relief artwork. The lingam is modest with a color that matches the rest of the inside of the bowl. A very broad and beautifully finished inner facing rim has vestiges of parallel etched lines. An initial burst of harmonious complexity gives way to the gently fluttering main tone, high for a Jambati. Premium harmony average sustain for the style. Leather is how to spin this bowl. Maybe a little tap to get it going but once you do the rich fundamental comes across loud and clear. With overtones at A5, G#6.
