Pots

Played with N101 ringing stick.

Last One! Temple Pots from India. These are old, they might be 50 or 100 years old, maybe a couple of hundred. As they are not normally a musical instrument you won’t see them sold as such. Nonetheless, a small subset of them make quite wonderful sounds.

The metal is likely some sort of bronze so mostly copper. This singing pot is thick and quite substantial, weighing almost a pound. It has a rich dark patina some interesting etching and a broad artistic rim.

It is 3″ wide and 2 3/4 inches tall.

The tone is A6 1800Hz. Not lively at all, the sound disappears in seconds. The recording is of this Temple singing pot. Still a nice piece.

I would recommend the small $4 N101 ringing stick for the best sound
