1629 Adorned Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with Excellent sustain#1629

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand

Low slung flat bottomed Jambati like bowl that is beautifully adorned with an exceptional amount of decoration. The bowl is well formed, graceful curves and hammermarks. It is thick and solid with a broad inner facing rim. The bowl also has a physical crack inside, about an inch long. It does not go through but it is in a critical part of the bowl for sound.

Gently pulsing bass and overtone arranged in premium harmony. Sweet and pure with the exception of a few seconds of initial discontinuity if played with a soft mallet like L1. Played with a higher tone mallet the discontinuity persists for a good 10 seconds. Excellent sustain with tones that just carry you along.

Great play with leather, the finely crafted rim just soaks up the energy and sends it out as the sweet peaceful bass. The bowl tends towards that fundamental even with wood. Except for the subtle flaw this beautiful bowl would have been rated exceptional. Marked down accordingly. With overtone at F5.
