Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with pleasant fluttering sound

3065 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with pleasant fluttering sound

Extra large, thick and heavy Thadobati lingam with clear artwork and rich original patina. This ceremonial bowl is likely hundreds of years old. It is made in the classic style, incredibly heavy with a broad crushed rim and tall lingam surrounded by hand etched circles. Pleasant fluttering soundscape, simple direct and high for such a big bowl. Sustain is short No rim play to speak of. This is a genuine antique lingam, one of the very few which are collected each year. This lingam is part of a group of three large Thadobati Lingams collected over the course of a few years that we are now releasing for sale. It is the largest of the three lingams. It is priced less than the other two because it does not have the sustain and rim play of the others. With overtone at F6.
