1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet followed by N55 single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Large extra thick Thadobati that was polished long ago and now has a golden hue. This is a classic old style bowl, broad crushed rim, circle pattern and wide interior circles. Amazing example of the oldest adorned Thadobati style. which is more usually seen in smaller bowls. Very high primary note for its size which is a a function of the thickness. When played with a soft mallet that note flutters and dances. A versatile bowl, quite a difference between a soft mallet and a harder one where the overtones are front and center. Longevity is OK, good with multiple taps energizing the bowl. Surprisingly plays the primary tone off the rim with leather or wood. With overtones at A5, G#6, E7, D#5. This is a rare very old piece increasingly difficult to find.
