Rare Large Heavy Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with exquisite sound #3611

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Long Ringing Stick leather

Extremely rare extremely thick Thadobati bowl. A great example of a large centuries old bowl, not many of which remain. The bowl has a dark original patina with simple exterior tick lines and faded incuse thick rim lines. At over 4 Lbs. it is a very heavy example of this type of bowl. The sound is absolutely exquisite, the combination of a sweet high and rolling bass with the unique “hollowness” typical of these extra thick old bowls. The bowl is very responsive, great for light taps with hard mallets. Rim play is easy with leather, pure primary tone. The fundamental is just as strong with wood so no need for special wands. With overtones at C6, B6.
