Extra Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with 3 tones and a woo-woo #3909

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Vermilion Wand

Very large extra thick thadobati. This is a unique example of this very old style bowl with worn elaborate etching and a prominent crushed rim. The broad rim has a good set of lines etched in it and you can see the hammering technique from the inside. Warbling three tone soundscape with a pulsing one second fundamental tone woo-woo backed by a solid and sometimes fluttering high overtone. The main overtone is where the warbling comes in, driving the sound to a less linear overall impression Longevity and harmony are good, the bowl is big and heavy so the sound – even at low volume – penetrates. Great off the rim, it picks up power seamlessly from the leather side with high volume smoothly and quickly. Leather is fundamental only which is where the bowl goes off the rim. To mix fundamental and overtone a massive Vermillion wand is the best. With overtones at A5, G#6, E7.
