Huge antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with incredible power #4067

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather

Incredibly large large extra thick Thadobati, an amazing example of this most ancient style of singing bowl. At over 4 Lbs this is one of the heaviest old Thadobati style we have seen. The color is a sort of glowing gold. This bowl was elaborately adorned and while most of the etching is faint outside a clear set of 7 circles is visible on the bottom. The broad rim itself has deep lines. A bouncing bass and solid high are the main initial tones off this massive bowl. Over time the bass. quite high at F4, becomes the only tone. Very good sustain and harmony. Of course incredible power from the mass of metal. As expected powerful off the rim. The bass can be kept pretty solid so long as the rim is being spun. Lift off and the pulsing begins. Fine rim longevity. No overtone play with wood – well it plays fine but just the bass. With overtones at C6, A#6.
