Old Trapezoid style with handsome patina. This large bowl is worn smooth to the touch. Resonant and bell like with a touch of large Trapezoid’s hollow uniqueness. Multiple layers of sound can be heard emerging then fading. Lots of activity within the premium harmony. Sustain is excellent, somewhat rare for the style. Great rim play with the massive wand, truly impressive rim sustain droning at middle C. Leather with simple wood provides some sound if the bowl is tapped first. With overtones at F5, E6, B6, D7. Middle C – A440 Scale – 261 Hz.
