Big Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with textured visceral soundscape #3618

3618 Big Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with textured visceral soundscape #3618

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand

Large triple circle pattern Thadobati with many old style features such as a wide crushed rim, and worn etching. This thick bowl is adorned inside out. The rim is unusual in that it is sloped to the inside of the bowl. It has original patina and some copper spots. Wavy fluttering soundscape where the fundamental lopes through its oscillations under a strong and steady singing high. Excellent longevity and fine harmony. Richly textured with a visceral feel. Great play with leather on the fundamental, quick to volume with lots of power. For the overtone the only way to go is the zebrawood massive wand. It has both the hardness and curvature necessary to make contact with the side of the bowl in the proper way. With overtones at A5, G#6, D#7.
