Large thick old style Thadobati with rich dark patina. This elaborately etched bowl has clear artwork inside and out. The wide rim has a deeply etched line in the middle. Spectacular premium soundscape, bell like clarity with smooth internal harmonies. The bowl is very responsive to different mallets with the higher tone ones bringing out more of the harmonious complexity. Intensely penetrating with very good longevity. Excellent rim play, easy to volume on the bass with leather, with great rim sustain. Off the rim you can pick apart the segments of the sound scape, high intensity but a different experience than the entirety of the sound you get with a mallet. Rated exceptional for the intensity. With overtones at G#5, G#6, D#7.
