Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with solid base and pulsing overtone
8574 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with solid base and pulsing overtone
Thick Manipuri with faint artwork and long clear inscription. The bowl has a consistent, bright patina. A solid bass and pulsing low overtone give this bowl a quiet feel. In keeping with the soundscape the bowl loses volume quickly giving the listener the prompting to also quickly come to a quiet one pointed space. Plays very well off the rim, leather and wood will bring out the low and first overtone respectively. With overtones at G#5, G6, D#7.
