Extra Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a balanced duet #9233
9233 Extra Thick Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with a balanced duet #9233
1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Massive Zebrawood Wand |
Large extra thick Manipuri with brassy original patina and some remaining artwork outside. Solid bass and swirling overtone play in a balanced duet throughout a good long sustain. At A3 the bass tone is quite high for a big Manipuri, a function of the overall thickness. Fine rim play, the bass easy plays with leather. For the first overtone more pressure is required but once you get it going the bowl sings with good volume. The easier overtone option is the massive zebrawood wand. With overtones at E5, D#6, A#6, F7.
