Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with uncluttered 220 Hz primary tone #8119
8119 Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with uncluttered 220 Hz primary tone #8119
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap. |
2 Medium Ringing Stick wood followed by FP Ebony Wand |
Bright colored Manipuri with the faintest traces of old artwork. A bowl in our collection since 2012 it shows no signs of changing color. Relatively simple and uncluttered soundscape, the 220 Hz primary tone and the main overtone. The bowl’s thickness seems to work against longevity so half a minute is what you will hear. The rim gives a bit more complexity two overtones, wood play is easiest. Overtones at D#5, D6, D7, A7. Perfect A3 – 220 Hz.
