Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with brassy and complex tones #9627

9627 Adorned Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with brassy and complex tones #9627

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Kingwood Wand

Beautifully adorned Manipuri with very well preserved artwork and a clear deeply etched inscription. The bright brassy bowl has punch circles inside and around the rim. Brassy and complex to start this bowl mixes solid and bouncing tones. Over time the pulsing bass and subtle high drop out leaving the solid overtone. Very good sustain on that overtone. Easy and clear rim play, leather, wood and wand each bring out different notes. The kingwood wand, especially is useful to sing out the super high tones. With overtones at A#5, A#6, F7, B7.
